The journey continues!

El Viaje de Ramón proves its red wine competence and extends its successful portfolio in the German trade with a Gran Reserva.

CLASSIC RIOJA WITH A MODERN TWIST

Bodegas Ramón Bilbao gives a modern touch to the traditional wines from Rioja with its unique wine style. The result is a Gran Reserva with an intense deep red colour and full-bodied bouquet.

Elegant and complex notes of ripe fruit, blackberry, plum as well as hints of cherry already convince in the nose. When enjoying this Gran Reserva, a spicy herbal note of rosemary and a beautiful presence of oak unfolds.

A crisp acidity is the perfect partner for the soft tannins. This wine is perfect for immediate drinking and has the potential to become even better in the bottle in years to come.

» When you travel, change your perspective, look for new horizons to conquer and sensations to experience: Tastes, aromas, nuances that change lives. «

El Viaje de Ramón invites everyone to awaken the adventurer in them.

THE WINERY - DEPARTURE, ADVENTURE AND A WEALTH OF AROMAS

Ramón Bilbao was founded in 1924 in the heart of the Rioja Alta. The winery is located in Haro, one of the most privileged regions of this important wine region in Spain.

Currently the bodega has 240 hectares of its own vineyards in Rioja, Rueda and Rias Baixas. For more than 20 years the oenologist and managing director Rodolfo Bastida has been managing Bodegas Ramón Bilbao. He combines craftsmanship, innovative technology and the latest scientific findings, thereby constantly perfecting the traditional Rioja wines. This concept gives the Riojas of the house an authentic and modern style.

The wines of Bodegas Ramón Bilbao are regularly awarded with prestigious prizes and medals. In 2014, Ramón Bilbao was awarded as the best Spanish winery in the International Wine & Spirits Competition. In addition, in 2019 the brand was included in the "50 Most Admired Wine Brands" series by the renowned Drinks International Magazin. In 2020, the winery climbed to 17th place in the ranking and was also named »Highest Climber«.
