Apothic refers to mystical wines from the vast vineyards of California. With their irresistible character, the wines are perfect for all senses - without revealing their unique secret.
Apothic - beyond smooth
In the 13th century, the term "apotheca" referred to the enigmatic sanctuary of a winemaker. It was his mysterious retreat, where sensational wines were created and also stored, because "apotheca" is also the Latin word for "storehouse" or "warehouse". It was a mysterious place where no one really knew what exactly was going on once the heavy door slammed shut behind the winemaker. However, lore has it that masterful wines were created there, inexplicably, in secret, and this mystical place was instrumental in that. No one could understand how these unique wines were made, which made them even more interesting.
It is precisely this magic that has inspired the Californian wine brand Apothic. The current winemaker, Debbie Juergenson, continues this magical tradition today by perfectly complementing distinctive California grape varieties and immortalizing vintages in captivating wines. The entire bottle design, including the label, picks up on the legend surrounding the mysterious place called "Apotheca" and thus shows itself to be extraordinarily mysterious.
Apothic wines convince with their intense fruit character, perfectly integrated, soft tannins and fascinate thanks to their silky wine style. Both Apothic Red, Cabernet Sauvignon, Apothic Dark and Inferno owe their unique character to the microclimate and soil conditions of California. Healthy fully ripe grapes are used from selected vineyards, producing complex wines with great structure. The loving work of the winemakers in the vineyard as well as in the cellar is expressed again in each vintage.
