Die Sonne Apuliens
The "sun of Apulia" is a reference to the importance of the sun's influence on the growth and ripening of grapes and is essential for the production of outstanding wines - such as the wines of Famiglia Angelillo. After harvesting, some of the grapes are dried in small wooden crates for at least three weeks in the Appassimento style before being carefully pressed. This concentrates the aromas and sweetness in the berries and gives the wines their particularly velvety, intense taste and unique character. Nestled in the southern Italian province of Apulia, this privileged location between the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea makes it possible to press these full-bodied wines.
