The E. & J. Gallo Winery was founded in 1933 by the brothers Ernest and Julio Gallo after Prohibition in California. Today, it is one of the dominant forces in the American and international wine industry. A company that remains true to its traditional roots as a family-owned winery. The grapes for the Gallo Family Vineyards wines come from the Central Valley at the foot of the Sierra Nevada. The valley, also known as the "Garden of California", is naturally irrigated each spring by the snowmelt from the Sierra Nevada. In summer, the grapes ripen under the warm California sun. These wines combine all the richness of the region and indulge with intense, fruity aromas.
